Our inner strength and goals could be ‘tested’ as Sun (identity) squares Saturn (discipline). Like a heavy cloud hanging over our head, the experience could range from fatigue to frustrating as potential difficulties rise. Our ego could feel stomped on if we have failed to keep up with our duties. Saturn comes with karmic lessons, which can repeat unresolved events until we get it right. As we try hard to shine, we come up against obstacles ~ basically to see if we have learned anything over the past months.
Like a rat in a cage, we could feel cornered with no way out. If we have relied on outside sources, rather than on ourselves.. we trap ourselves with the gloom and despair. As Saturn transits Libra (personal, romantic, and professional relationships), we need to grow up, and be morally responsible. We are challenged to stand up and lead, so that we can do what is best for everyone involved. Don’t be afraid to work and seek your inner ambition. Challenges are our greatest teacher.
“Do not earn your living, by harming others.” ~Buddha
With Luna still in Sagittarius, what we feel is expanded in great measures. We NEED to feel happy, but under this dark influence we may have an urge to flee from consequences, which is righteously ours. We can either be great listeners and learn much at this time…. or we can majorly trip over our own words and loud voice, only to miss the real point… again. We always have a choice as to how we will act, reach out for the higher path, for there is light to be found between the cracks.
“Our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world as being able to remake ourselves.” ~Gandhi.

NEW MOON REMINDER… Monday, January 23, 2:39 am EST, is the New Moon Power Day in January! Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for goals you’d like to reach and experiences you’d like to have.
Because this New Moon is in the sign of AQUARIUS, it is the most potent New Moon of year for wishes involving new beginnings in friendships and taking steps to make your larger, life goals and dreams come true. Things you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of this friendly and intelligent New Moon.
For success, your wishes must be handwritten on paper and ten wishes maximum are allowed on each power day. The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. The potency continues to exist for another twelve hours, but is weaker. For clear success, it’s best to avoid wishing during those hours when the Moon is Void of Course.
Therefore in JANUARY 2012, your most potent times for wishing are: [EST]
Monday, January 23: 2:39 am - midnight
Tuesday, January 24: all day and night
Wednesday, January 25: 12:01 am - 3:34 am & 4:11 am - midnight.
Among other things, this New Moon stimulates the ability to more successfully navigate your life by seeing the “big picture” and taking into account the interests of those around you. Because the New Moon of January is in the sign of AQUARIUS, it is an especially auspicious time for wishing to improve your existing friendships, make new friends, develop a more friendly attitude toward others. The energy of AQUARIUS also stimulates an opening for creating greater success and ease in group situations. This New Moon stimulates the capacity to view your life more objectively. When objective knowledge of the big picture is seen it empowers you to more easily create the personal successes you desire. [Jan Spiller]

Can you hear it? Have you Accepted it?

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it’s not pretty, every day, and if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”
It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
